# Timeout

## /member timeout add

Add a timeout to a member. You have options and have to choose one of the given ones, to avoid "strange" durations. The maximum length of a timeout are 28 days.<br>

Both, author and bot require the new Moderate Members (Time Out Members) permission to use this command.

Remove an existing timeout from a member.
